Attorney Dale Recinella, the author of The Biblical Truth about America's Death Penalty, has been serving for 12 years as a state-certified spiritual counselor and Catholic lay chaplain in Florida's prisons. In 1998, he began ministering cell-to-cell to the 365+ men on Florida's death row and to about 2,000 men held in long-term solitary confinement. Recinella writes and speaks out extensively against the death penalty and inhumane prison conditions.
On Saturday, October 3rd at 11:00 a.m. Recinella will speak about the death penalty at the ACLU-CT Fairfield County Chapter's annual meeting at the Stamford Government Center.
In addition to his book, Recinella contributes a regular column about the death penalty and prison conditions to The Florida Catholic. He has appeared frequently on worldwide Vatican Radio concerning the death penalty, and he has addressed numerous audiences on the subject.
After the speech, members will hear about the Abolition Day Rally taking place on Sunday October 4 and select officers for the upcoming year.
