On Saturday, November 20, CT will observe the 9th Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance, an international day of observance to memorialize transgender people who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice.
ACLU-CT is co-sponsoring this important event. ctEQUALITY, the coalition leading the effort to pass legislation that includes gender identity and gender expression in our state, invites supporters to join this event and show solidarity with and support for the transgender and gender non-conforming community in our state. Given the series of gender expression-related bullying and suicides we've seen covered in the media in recent months, this year's TDOR is hitting home for all of us.
Below is key information about the event. The attached flyer includes more detail, and maps.
