Somebody's Watching Me

Civil liberties issues will take center stage every Monday night at 11:00 thanks to the Fairfield County Chapter. Leaders of the chapter have selected a variety of programs to pique the interests of ACLU members throughout the region. Programs will cover topics such as the increase of surveillance, the Patriot Act, and the relation between government and religion.

The new program, ACLU Fairfield County & More, will air every Monday at 11:00 PM on Cablevision Channel 77 through June 29, 2009. Residents in Greenwich, Stamford, New Canaan, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, Wilton, Weston, Easton, and Redding can tune in to watch these fascinating programs.

June 1: "Prison Reform in Connecticut"
ACLU-CT attorney discussed need to reform prison system and discusses potential legislative action.

June 8: "Federal Government Spying and Surveillance in America Today"
National ACLU expert discusses ways technology can effect our liberty.

June 15: "What Should Be The Role of Religion in Progressive Politics?"
This program features a lively debate on the relationship between government and religion.

June 22: "Libraries and the Patriot Act"
Connecticut libraries fight to protect the confidentiality of citizens using libraries.

June 29: "Defending Liberty in Connecticut"
Expert attorney addresses cyber liberties, internet privacy, and national security.
