Friends and associates of the late Frank Melville were told of his death December 6 by the executive director of the Melville Charitable Trust, Robert Hohler, who described him as “an exceptional human being – deeply thoughtful, generous and possessed with a lifelong commitment to civil liberties and equitable justice. The ACLU of Connecticut, a beneficiary of Frank Melville’s generosity and also of his family’s support, notes his passing with sorrow, and expresses condolences to his wife Allen Melville and their four sons and other family.
