Weigh In For Student Rights

If you’ve been following the free-speech case of Burlington high school student Avery Doninger, take a minute to record a vote on her behalf in an informal Hartford Courant poll:

Doninger is the 17-year-old student who posted, from her home, a livejournal.com intemperate comment about her school principal in a dispute over a musical event, JamFest.

A three-judge federal appeals panel last week heard her appeal of school disciplinary measures forbidding her to serve in the elected post of class secretary.
