Aubrie Smith joined the American Civil Liberties Union of Connecticut (ACLU-CT) in 2018. She is primarily responsible for Board relations and initiatives that drive organizational growth, as well as promoting a positive and inclusive culture and ensuring internal policies and procedures align with organizational values. Aubrie received her bachelor's degree in American Studies with a minor in the Study of Women and Gender from Smith College and is a graduate of the 2018 Fairfield Cohort of the Leadership Development Roundtable. Prior to joining the ACLU-CT, Aubrie served as a founding Tutor Corps member at a charter school in Bridgeport, then worked for an educational advocacy organization. Aubrie is committed to creating a world in which all feel welcome, respected, and cherished for their unique contributions, and is proud to stand alongside the ACLU-CT team to promote and defend civil rights and civil liberties in the state of Connecticut.
