Rafael Rosario joined the ACLU of Connecticut as communications associate in 2019. In his role with the ACLU of Connecticut, Rafael works to grow and manage the organization’s social media presence, create compelling visual and digital stories, and develop winning communications campaigns. Prior to joining the ACLU-CT, Rafael worked with the 2018 Jahana Hayes congressional campaign and managed bilingual marketing campaigns for the Realm of Caring Foundation, a therapeutic cannabis nonprofit, and for Integrity Music’s successful Latin Grammy campaign with artist Danilo Montero. In addition, Rafael worked for more than a decade as a job developer with CT Renaissance, where he helped people reentering society after incarceration. Outside of his professional experience, Rafael serves on the Greater Waterbury Reentry Council, is a member of the board of directors of the Brass City Gamers Tournament, and teaches coding and YouTube video making to youth at the Silas Bronson Library in Waterbury.
