Please join the ACLU of Connecticut and the Hartford Public High School Law & Government Academy for the Connecticut premiere of the restored and re-mastered film, ”James Baldwin: The Price of the Ticket” on Thursday October 22nd from 5:30-8:30 pm at Hartford Public High School.
We are so proud to partner with the Law and Government Academy for this exciting event.
In the week leading up to the screening, students will be introduced to James Baldwin and his work via lesson plans specifically designed for this project.
We welcome you to join us for the October 22nd screening and a lively panel discussion to follow.
This event is free and open to the public; however, your RSVP will guarantee you a seat, and your name will be placed on a reserved seating list at the door. Please spread the word among your friends and family and encourage them to join you in learning more about the struggles and triumphs of this iconic figure in English literature! James Baldwin has been an inspiration to generations of Americans concerned about equality and social justice in the Civil Rights and LGBT Rights movements.
