This bill would have prohibited police from using weaponized drones, except those engaged in detecting, detonating, or disposing of explosives. Under this bill, police also would have been required to get a warrant before using a drone for surveillance, except in emergency circumstances. H.B. 5274 passed the Connecticut House of Representatives 131-14 but failed to receive a vote in the Senate.
