Earlier this year, we witnessed the Trump administration use the National Guard in a deeply disturbing and dangerous way when he ordered the deployment of National Guard troops to several states. These deployments have and will continue to result in countless violations of people’s basic rights and liberties across the country.

There is something Governor Lamont can do about it. We need Governor Lamont to protect and serve the people of Connecticut by signing an executive order that will set clear guardrails to prevent the Trump administration from misusing Connecticut’s National Guard.
