Bio

Rachel joined the ACLU of Connecticut in 2023 and serves as the team’s digital content strategist. In their role, Rachel utilizes digital and visual content to build the organization’s engagement and online presence.

Prior to joining the ACLU of Connecticut, Rachel received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Studies, with a concentration in Government and Politics, from Stonehill College in North Easton, Massachusetts. During this time, they have worked in content creation and social media management for various non-profit and youth-led organizations that advocate for racial equity, accessible high-quality education, and affordable child care.

In and out of this position, Rachel is passionate about advocating for human and civil rights, educating young people about how to engage with political systems, and amplifying the voices of advocates and organizers.

Reflecting on the 2025 Legislative Session

The 2025 legislative session has come to a close, and it was certainly a trying session for all. In a session where roughly 3,800 bills were introduced, only about 380 bills were passed, rounding up to a passing rate of about ten percent.
