Registries are a tool whose efficacy is extremely limited, as detailed above, and whose downsides are significant and widely harmful to the people on them, their families, our communities, and to potential victims. We believe the use of registries should not be expanded absent compelling evidence that the registry would lead to a reduction in community harm.
