Bio

Ebony Chisholm (she/her) is honored and humbled to step into the role of Director of Communications at the ACLU of Connecticut. She brings more than a decade of experience in mission-driven communications, storytelling, and public policy, with a background supporting education, civil rights, and social-impact organizations at both local and national levels. Most recently, she was a Communications Consultant working with education non-profits across the country.

Ebony is a bi-racial woman who identifies as a Black woman, and her work is deeply shaped by a commitment to equity, representation, and community voice. As a lifelong lover of words, she grew up using writing as her safe space — a place to process complexities, and find her voice. She turned that love of language into a career rooted in helping organizations communicate with clarity, care, and integrity, with the hope of creating spaces where others feel seen and heard.
