H.B. 5251, An Act Establishing a Task Force to Study Health Insurance Coverage for Undocumented Immigrants in This State

This bill would require the creation of a task force to study study the health insurance needs and barriers to insurance access for undocumented people in Connecticut.

S.B. 134, An Act Concerning Consumer Privacy; S.B. 137, An Act Concerning Data Privacy Breaches; H.B. 5174, An Act Concerning Anti-Trust Issues and the Palliative Use of Marijuana

The ACLU-CT supports S.B. 134 and S.B. 137, which would increase consumer privacy protections. We also support H.B. 5174, which would prevent consolidation of ownership of marijuana dispensaries, and we encourage the legislature to expand it to include restorative justice measures.

S.B. 140, An Act Requiring Free Feminine Hygiene Products in Middle and High School Student Bathrooms

We cannot have full and equitable participation in society by women and other people who menstruate unless we ensure safe and affordable access to menstrual products to everyone who needs them.

H.B. 5271 An Act Concerning Breastfeeding in the Workplace

Connecticut has done the right thing for working parents who breastfeed by clearly requiring employers to support breastfeeding in the workplace. This bill strengthens those requirements.
