HARTFORD — The Connecticut General Assembly’s Senate this morning voted to approve Governor’s H.B. 7044, a bail reform bill. Today’s vote follows a nonpartisan vote to approve the measure in the House of Representatives.

HARTFORD — On Tuesday night, a person was shot and killed when a Bridgeport police officer fired his or her weapon at the moving car the person was driving. Police also shot and injured the car’s passenger, 21-year-old Julian Fyffe.
